The aircraft levelled off at 4000 feet and on ATC vectors positioned for a return to runway 10R. About 6 minutes later the crew declared Mayday reporting they had a fire in the forward cargo department. The aircraft landed safely on Dublin's runway 10R and vacated the runway, the crew reported there was no fire or smoke. The aircraft returned to service after about 48 hours on the ground in Dublin. https://www.avherald.com/h?article=4f675a2d&opt=0 Incident: Azul E195 near Campo Grande on Mar 13th 2022, avionics problem An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195, registration PR-AYU performing flight AD-2514 from Corumba,MS to Bonito,MS (Brazil), was enroute at FL380 near Campo Grande,MS (Brazil) when the crew received a "AVNX MAU 2B FAIL" message, at the same time the transponder signal failed. The aircraft diverted to Campo Grande for a safe landing. Brazil's CENIPA rated the occurrence an incident. The aircraft returned to service about 20 hours after landing. https://www.avherald.com/h?article=4f6749ec&opt=0 Incident: Mesa CRJ9 at Eugene on Mar 22nd 2022, flock of birds (geese) A Mesa Airlines Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N902FJ performing flight AA-5802 from Phoenix,AZ to Eugene,OR (USA), was on final approach to runway 34L about one nautical mile before touchdown, when the aircraft flew through of flock of geese and received multiple bird strikes. The aircraft continued for a safe landing less than a minute later. The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT STRUCK MULTIPLE GEESE ON ONE MILE FINAL, EUGENE, OR.,", the damage was "UNKNOWN", the occurrence rated an incident. The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Eugene for about 13.5 hours, then flew to Phoenix. https://www.avherald.com/h?article=4f674203&opt=0 Incident: Southwest B737 at San Diego on Mar 10th 2022, overheat indications on both engines A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N427WN performing flight WN-1697 from San Diego,CA to Oakland,CA (USA) with 142 people on board, was climbing out of San Diego's runway 27 when the crew requested a return to San Diego via a right hand turn reporting an engine (CFM56) overheat. THe aircraft stopped the climb at 7000 feet and was handed off to SoCal Approach, however, due to congestion on that frequency directly contacted San Diego Tower, who verified the crew had San Diego in sight and cleared the flight for a visual approach to runway 27. The aircraft continued downwind, the crew advised both of their engines had overheat indications with all other indications normal, was cleared to land runway 27, requested all emergency services in attendance towards the end of the runway, turned final and landed safely on runway 27 about 15 minutes after departure. A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N7747C reached Oakland with a delay of about 2.5 hours. The 5-day training course will be delivered by the experienced team of Brent Hayward and Alan Hobbs, together with special guest presenter, clinical and health psychologist Catarina Cunha. The course will be conducted in a COVID-safe manner. The hotel training venue in Sitges has been selected with that in mind and conduct of the course will comply with all national and local government requirements and protocols regarding COVID-19 safety and event management. This may include requirements for providing proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test results as mandated locally at the time. Creates an overall life view and repair expectation tracking to optimize shop visits. Audits and validates shop visits to ensure financial sections of the Company have technical support. Position Available: Configuration Control Manager Position Summary: Based out of our headquarters in Indianapolis, this individual maintains the Service Bulletin (SB) configuration tracking list of the aircraft within the airline and leads the engineering meetings for SB evaluation. Coordinates the airlines Weight & Balance and Emergency Equipment programs.
